Belfast Met is one of the largest colleges in the UK, and it is actually the largest Higher Education College in Northern Ireland. It is located across four main sites, and these are in Titanic Quarter, Millfield, Castlereagh, and in e3/Springvale.
They have a new curriculum that will be essential to the future jobs that will be created. They offer education and training at every level to address a variety of skill needs. They also ensure that their students will enhance their employability and job-ready skills. Their goal is to support the development of Belfast by providing education, training, and skills development that will eventually lead to economic prosperity.
The school received the Queen’s anniversary Prize, which is a UK-wide award carried out by UK colleges and universities in April 2020.
The Titanic Quarter Campus is the largest campus of Belfast Met and is in the Belfast Harbour’s riverside district. This campus has industrial sewing and craft workshops, training kitchens, full time library and helpdesk, a Student’s Union, Café Met, a fitness suite, a central hall, and conference and multimedia centers.
The Millfield Campus is found in the heart of the city that is close to many shops, amenities and entertainment, and a multitude of classrooms. A lot of facilities will also be found here like a college library, Einstein’s Café, a lecture theater, Graphic Design classrooms, Photographic studio and Dark Room, Fine Art rooms, Electronic Communication Room, Electrical Testing Labs, and more.
The Castlereagh Campus is located in Southeast Belfast. The courses offered here are Science, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Sport, Healthcare, theater, Fashion, Media and Makeup Studies, and more. Some of the facilities here are a full-time library and helpdesk, a lecture theater, Café Met, modern science laboratories, make up and make up for media and special effects classroom facilities, and more.
Their Springvale Campus can be found in the west of the city and are for both their learners and business partners. The Belfast Film and Television School will also be found here. Their facilities include a 3D animation suite, green screen studio, news and radio production studio, nine business incubation units.
Different courses are offered in the four campuses of Belfast Met. They offer programs for full-time students, part-time students, and apprenticeships.
In Millfield, some of these courses include Art and Graphic Design, Building Trades, Child Care, Engineering, Health and Social Care, and Media. In their Castlereagh Campus, they offer courses in Biology, Child Care, Computing, Fashion, Tourism, and more. Some courses offered in their Titanic quarter Campus include Animal Care, Beauty, and Pharmaceutical Science. In their e3 campus, some of the courses are Business Administration and Hospitality.
